About Me

     My name is Luisa Alves do Amaral Ramos, and I was born on the 2nd of March, 1995 - which makes me 21 years-old. I was born in Brazil, and I currently live here. I've lived in the UK, in the lovely city of Leicester, for one year. I am a half-passionate Architecture student since 2012.

     

     I'm a full-time wholeheartedly Christian, trying to be more and more like Jesus Christ. He is my Saviour, the Owner of my heart, and I believe that I was born to fulfill His calling for my life. My heart seeks Him in everything I see, I talk about Him in everything I do. It's all about Him, all about Jesus.

    

     I identify myself strongly with both the Arts and the Sciences. I love drawing, painting, literature, comic books, linguistics, Maths and Physics. My biggest influences as a writer are Edgar Allan Poe, Charles Baudelaire, Daniel Handler/Lemony Snicket, Machado de Assis and C.S. Lewis. My biggest influences as a visual artist are Alex Ross, Brett Hellquist, Edward Gorey, Gustave Doré, Greg Capullo, Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. My favourite artist is Vincent [van Gogh], my favourite book is The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, and my favourite poem is A Dream Within a Dream by Edgar Allan Poe. My favourite series are Doctor Who and Sherlock. My favourite movies are Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain, Pride and Prejudice and Reservoir Dogs.
   
     I love adjectives, expressing feelings, talking about life and using metaphors. Some people say it's annoying, I think it's super annoying. There's a good chance you'll easily figure out what I'm thinking about something, but it's a natural consequence of being transparent. Some say that writing is a socially acceptable way of undressing yourself in public; I am as easy to read as your favourite book.
